Description: This record consists of digitized rolls of Confederate veterans and widows within the county receiving state pensions. The basic document consists of the annual roll prepared by the Probate Judge. Information generally includes class of pension, name and residence of pensioner, widow's husband's name, military unit of veteran or widow's husband, amount paid of pension, and number of persons receiving pensions in each class. Entries may be annotated with notations and or signatures indicating to whom the pensions was delivered or reason pension was not paid. An end of year report to the State Board of Pension may also be included for some years. In form the series consist of loose rolls and volumes of recorded rolls.
